The Student Affairs Committee's purpose is to serve as a liaison between ASMSA students and Administration. It is the responsibility of the Student Affairs Committee to review and revise any documents composed for or by the Student Government Association in order to determine the constitutionality of any proposed legislation.
The Food Committee works in cooperation with the food service in place to adequately monitor and improve the food being served at ASMSA. Its members work with cafeteria staff in order to bridge the gap between the students and food service providers. The Committee assesses the feedback of students and look for ways to improve the food served.
The Student Interest and Wellness Committee's purpose is to raise awareness for the overall health of the Student Body by providing resources to reduce academic and residential stress and implement small programs that will improve the health of the student body. The committee is also in charge of disseminating information through a newsletter.
The Events Committee is responsible for organizing and coordinating all of the major school events that bring together different clubs and organizations across campus. From brainstorming themes to handling logistics, decorations, and activities, the committee works to make each event a fun and memorable experience for the student body. Signature events include Fall Fest, Culture Fest, and DolphinStock, some of the most anticipated traditions that students look forward to each year!
The Finance Committee manages a portion of the funds collected through the SGA Assessment from the student body. Its primary responsibility is to review funding requests and allocate money to ASMSA-recognized clubs and organizations, ensuring that student groups have the resources they need to host events, activities, and initiatives throughout the year.
